SERVICES - What I support

Women’s Health & Hormones

All things hormones!

I support:

  • Perimenopause - period changes, hot flushes, heavy menstrual bleeding, associated mood & cognition changes

  • Irregular periods,

  • PMS,

  • PCOS,

  • and genitourinary issues of recurrent thrush/ Bacterila vaginosis (BV) and urinary tract infections.

I can help to balance your hormones and vaginal health naturally!

I often use a combination of testing methods such as blood tests and temperature tracking and symptoms tracking to get an understanding of what your hormones and symptoms are currently doing so we can really tailor the herbal and nutritional plan to what your body needs. Identifying the underlying drivers of the symptoms is key to helping feel better!

Gut Health

Gut health is a huge area and how I support gut health is really about identifying why your gut health and digestion is ‘off’

I support:

  • Bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea - variable bowel motions

  • Unpredictable gut/ bowel reaction to food, IBS, ‘leaky gut’ and diverticular disease

  • Gut dysbiosis states such as SIBO, parasites and large bowel dysfunction

Symptoms and timing can tell quite a bit about the gut but there are also some pretty big difference in how we work with eg SIBO vs a parasite and the old adage of ‘test don’t guess’ really is appropriate here.

Our microbiomes need nurturing but it isn’t always as simple as fermented foods, more fibre or a ‘parasite cleanse’. The detail matters.

Testing is often an out of pocket expense and a conversation we will have regarding your budget and how we can work to help reduce symptoms while not glossing over the deeper causes.

Stress & Anxiety

My approach to stress & anxiety is all about supporting your body and mind (neurochemistry) to bring down the volume and intensity of how stress and anxiousness presents for you!

Herbal medicine and nutrients can be fabulous for calming the mind, the nervous system and supporting our adrenal system.

If you are keen to explore natural alternatives and strategies, Naturopathy is well worth considering.

As a naturopath I also have it on my radar to look for other connections (eg gut issues, thyroid health, hormone imbalances etc) that may also be influencing stress and anxiety and working to support these too.

When working in this space we also look to bring in supportive lifestyle and diet changes.

I often work along side counsellors and other health professionals (a collaborative approach and multidisciplinary care team for your health is welcomed) and we can still work together if you are on medications too.
